a gecko, a hammer, and some homemade bread

It's been a great few days :) Texas finally arrived and has been a muggy 85 degrees the past few days, but that's ok.

I spent lots of quality time with Megan and Caleb (and Zach!)--

went to the rose gardens yesterday and found a new friend...

and because I know you're all thinking it, no he didn't have an aussie accent and talk about car insurance ;)

Then we went to a free play at Bergfeld Park called "Annie Get Your Guns", definitely worth the price.. haha. just kidding. it was alright, good for free entertainment!

This morning I woke up early and FINALLY got to work with Habitat for Humanity for the first time and I loved it! We put up all the siding on the outside, and will paint the exterior next weekend. (no pictures this week) I want to keep doing this, it's really great. You know why?
1. gets me out of the house, and up early
2. helps others who are in much greater need than myself
3. makes me feel good about life
4. free tan
5. free lunch
6. keeps me in shape and active

yay!

After I came back and got a shower, I pulled up my all time favorite (and only) bread recipe from mom (and luke & hannah are probably the only ones that will appreciate this part). went back over to megan's and baked bread! YUMMM....!!!

And then I came home to discover the AC is on. Something we haven't done yet this year but my roommate finally gave in and turned in on. Life is good.
