Well, to save from a really long blog that no one will read about the details of the last three weeks of my life, here are the cliffnotes and feel free to ask questions if you want more info on any of it :)
The trip starts here, before Christmas...
Texas:
After a myriad of Christmas parties, packing, and hugs and goodbyes... I packed up my car with as much as I could cram in it, and Jonathan flew in to make the trip with me up north. Leaving TX permanently was bittersweet-- leaving a good job and wonderful friends and church.... but with a lot of exciting new things paving the way ahead--with my future husband at my side!
Ohio:
21 hours non-stop of being on the road, 1200 miles later and a pit stop to see my grandma for a few hours in the midst of it all, we finally got home to see my family for Christmas in Medina. the next week was a whirlwind of friends, relatives, food, random errands, and little adventures-- but it was one of the best holidays I ever had-- again, with Jonathan at my side! :)
Virginia:
To complete the trip, we drove 7 more hours down to Harrisonburg, VA with 2 hours to spare until the New Year. Ringing in 2008 as I call Virginia my new home. I met my soon-to-be "landlords" (aka, the family I would be renting their basement apartment from), and am still bright eyed and dazed with the fact that...
A: I actually moved for a boy-- and it's a good thing!
B: I am getting married in 8 months-- a lifetime of waiting is just around the corner!
C: I am living in a new state with my fiance less than 20 minutes away and NO MORE LONG DISTANCE for any long periods of time!!! It's no longer a special trip with lots of logistics, time away from work, sleep deprivation and extra money for travel; but an everyday living and enjoying each other's company as we continue on with what God has for us
D: I am living on blind faith right now--again. ;)
E: I am unemployed and broke but SO full of peace and joy because God has and will take care of me like always
F: I am living in the middle of a valley surrounded by mountains--- something I've dreamed of for years! I LOVE IT!
So, in a nutshell-- yes, I hear you all saying... "you moved... again?!"
and all I can say is, "hey, I'm marrying a pilot. this is just the training grounds."
So I guess you'll have to get used to me telling you every couple years that my address has changed. Because it will again soon. in eight months. maybe in eighteen months, and who knows after that. Thanks for putting up with it ;)
life is an adventure. praise GOD.
