Jonathan and I went to a park and took a walk on the trail. I found a vine. :) Yes I'm a dork.
We went fishing, um, minus the fish. Heeerrre fishy fishy fishy fishy.
On the trail... this was the same trail I got lost on two months ago... good thing I had my guy to navigate this time :)
Down at Galveston, on the Gulf of Mexico beach after dark. Yes, we are that cute in real life.
I've decided that I don't like flying over open water.
Let me rephrase that. I don't mind other people flying me over open water.....
I can spend 9 hours flying over the Pacific freaking Ocean.... yet I can't stand flying the plane 15 minutes over Galveston Bay. Why is that?
Stuck at the airport during a lovely Texas torrential downpour. Delays=opportunities to improvise.
And here's the proof. It's a bird, it's a plane... and Charisma is flying it!
So I've also decided that I love flying, except when there is turbulence. I freaked out when we went through a cloud, and Jonathan said, "it's just a few little bumps, don't worry."
I cried back, "ahhh! take the wheel! take the wheel! little bump in little plane makes big bump!"
:)
This weekend, we went out to Longview to visit Jonathan's pilot friend, Jerry and his family. Jerry (who is old enough to have great grand children) spends time with his family and travels a lot all over the world with his wife, Elizabeth... they have hundreds of acres, where almost his entire family has built houses and lives close to one another. They let us take the four-wheeler out to go exploring. We had a blast! Next week, we hope to go back and ride their horses and watch them rope cattle. Yeehaw!
After the four-wheeling and visiting, we went to a play at LeTourneau. I can't remember the name of it at the moment, but they did a lot of folk and gospel songs, it was pretty neat.
This morning Jonathan flew out early to go with Pilots for Christ to Baton Rouge, LA and then back across the Northern Texas. What a life. ;)
Another afternoon of friends and fellowship to come!
one more week in this new season of life. more adventures, memories, and milestones.
God is good!
